Marcus Martin, a Metro Police Officer, related that the incident that happened near North Bradley Road and Grand Teton Drive had no fatalities.
The two shot women did not present life-threatening injuries. At this point in the investigation it is believed that none of the two women was actually targeted and that the shooting was done by a “moron with a gun”.
The name of the two women, ages 49 and 39, who were shot with small-caliber bullets was not made public yet. One of them got shot in the leg while the other had her chest grazed by a bullet. More than one hundred people were evacuated from the park and the victims were immediately taken to University Medical Center.
