Shooting with victims during filming a music video in the Houston area

At least two people were killed and six others were injured in a drive-by shooting in north Harris County neighborhood Friday night.

The incident occurred during the filming of a music video in the Houston area, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said. When the officers arrived, they found a group of young males with gunshot wounds, two of which were dead, in the parking lot of an office complex. The investigation is expected to be complex, police said. Investigators are still trying to identify the suspects and a motive. It’s also not known if the shooting was gang related. The music video was being filmed by a group of Hispanic males in their 20s.

"We believe they were ambushed by individuals in cars and/or on foot," Harris County’s Sheriff  Ed Gonzalez. said at a press briefing at the scene. It was unclear whether the group filming the video returned fire. Police were canvassing the area to determine if there were any other victims beyond those shot in the parking lot. Authorities were planning to check all available surveillance footage in the area and review the material that had been filmed for the music video.
