Police helped baby to be born on Interstate 93

For this family it was a very special Christmas gift. A woman gave birth to a baby boy on Interstate 93 near Boscawen early in the Christmas morning, shortly after midnight.

The couple called their doctor. „They told us to wait 30 minutes.” But only minutes later , at ten miles from the hospital, the family called 911. „It was the craziest call I received,”the Boscawen police officer Ryan Nolan remembers. Two state police officers and an officer from the Boscawen Police Department helped the couple welcome baby Dominic. Nolan has never delivered a baby before. But they did it. The baby made a memorable entrance into the world.  "All are happy, healthy & overjoyed to be spending Christmas together," state police wrote on Twitter. "Good job Officer Nolan, and all involved! Merry Christmas mom and dad!" they added.

Officers took a picture with the baby and his family in the hospital. Such things not happen everyday but they happen and prove the human attitude of officers doing their job, involved in cthe community’s life. Baby Dominic was born with the help of state police Sgt. Vince Grieco, Trooper Ryan St. Cyr and Boscawen police Officer Ryan Nolan.
