A pedophile was arrested after walking 351 miles to have sex with a believed underaged teen

An Indiana man who is listed as a convicted pedophile was charged with using a computer to engage a minor to perform in unlawful sexual activity and faces ten years in prison if convicted in court.

Tommy Lee Jenkins, 32, began to have sexually explicit conversations with a teen named “Kylee” who lived in Neenah, who was actually an undercover cop in Wisconsin working with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Jenkins allegedly "began demanding sexually explicit photographs from 'Kylee' and making plans to engage in sexual activity." He even walked 351 miles to have sex with a believed 14-year-old. Jenkins sent pictures of areas he passed, including photos of exit signs and selfies. Instead, he encountered deputies and an FBI agent at “Kylee’s” home.

Authorities arrested Jenkins when he arrived. Previously, in 2011, he had two convictionsfor sexually abusing two boys. "Our nation faces an epidemic of child sexual abuse, with the Internet making it too easy for predators to communicate with children across the country," United States Attorney Matthew D. Krueger said in a statement. Jenkins will appear in federal court on October 23.
