A Florida man was arrested for intention to do a mass shooting

25-year-old Tristan Scott Wix from  Daytona Beach, Florida,  has been charged for threatening to commit a mass shooting.

His ex-girlfriend alerted authorities to a series of  text messages he sent her. Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood said to media after arrest that „he is the profile of a shooter." In fact, he wanted to become known for being the most prolific killer in American history. Wix wrote about wanting to open fire on a large crowd of people. He wanted to die and "have fun doing it."Iin another message, Wix texted he wanted to reach 100 victims and had decided on a location.  He was arrested Friday at a supermarket in Daytona Beach Shores on a charge of making written threats to kill.

Wix initially told detectives he didn’t own any firearms “but is fascinated with mass shootings.” Authorities recovered a .22-caliber hunting rifle and 400 rounds of ammunition in his apartment. After arrest, the suspect  said he wanted to shoot into a large crowd from three miles away. Wix was being held without bond Sunday at the Volusia County Branch Jail. He implied he was immune from prosecution because he hadn’t physically done anything. FBI officials recently told a congressional hearing that the bureau was reportedly investigating nearly 850 people as possible domestic terrorists.
