According to reports from CNN affiliate KPRC, lion’s share of the southern and the eastern Texas are under tornado watch throughout the afternoon.
East Texas to the Florida Panhandle is expected to face extreme weather all throughout the day.
Cities that are subjected to weather threats include Atlanta, Birmingham, Houston and New Orleans. The storm will proceed in the eastern direction and will face the Carolinas, northern Florida and Georgia in its perimeter on Wednesday.
Possibility of a tornado is the biggest threat. For most part of the Oklahoma and Arkansas, a winter storm warning has been issued and by the time storm passes the region, the areas could be having 4 to 6 inches of snow and sleet.
