Middle school students investigated for putting urine in food served to teachers

Several students at Hyatts Middle School in Powell,Ohio, served crepes filled with urine and semen to teachers judging the contest during a “gourmet” cooking competition, as part of a family consumer science class, a few days ago.

A video about what happened circulated. School administrators learned of the action and contacted police. Investigators were probing the incident on Monday. The Sheriff's Office said lab tests were being conducted to verify the substance involved. One charge that could apply is felony assault because it happened at school and against a teacher. Authorities have been working with school officials. “District leadership and local law enforcement are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident, and anyone found in violation of school policies will be held accountable for their actions,” a statement from the Olentangy Schools district on Monday said. “We are also focusing our efforts to support the teachers impacted by this incident,” it was added.
