On the count of other sex offenses and second-degree child abuse Saldarriaga-Yepes is currently held at a County Adult Detention Center. The bail was set to $65000. According to news reports the mother of the abused child reported what happened to the private school where the 19 year old exchange student was attending. Child Protective services were quickly brought up to speed and after an agent had a talk with the girl they went ahead and interviewed Saldarriaga-Yepes.
The student admitted he inappropriately touched the girl. Now he faces a harsh sentence. According to charging documents filed in the Frederick County District Court the student is currently being accused of abusing the little girl several times in the last two months of last year.
