Several injured after a car crashed into a building in New Jersey


Police and emergency medical responders were at the scene. Authorities said there is no indication it was a deliberate act. The female driver was attempting to park when the car slammed into the building. She had three passengers, two of them children. They appeared to escape serious injury but a female passenger was seriously wounded.

Help for injured

The injured people were sent to hospital, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. One was taken to AtlantiCare’s Mainland Campus in Galloway Township. Firefighters removed the vehicle tearing down part of the wall. The building has been closed until further notice because of the structural damage. The circumstances of the accident were not clarified. “It was like a disaster movie …” a witness said. A regional spokesperson for the Social Security Administration said the incident is under investigation by the Egg Harbor Township police.
