Several gunshots were fired at Palm Beach Central High School, South Florida football practice game Friday night and two adult males were shot, police said.
A group of students got into a fight during the game. Chaos broke out during shooting incident and shoes and other personal belongings went flying as people fled the area.The school football stadium was evacuated. Authorities arrived on scene almost immediately. There was a huge police presence at the school and law enforcement officers on the scene were armed with rifles. A helicopter landed on the field at Palm Beach Central. It was not immediately clear whether the shots were fired in or near the stadium. Witnesses said the stands were full during the fourth quarter of the preseason game. The severity of the injuries was not immediately known.

“One victim was located on the school property and the second victim was transported to a local hospital by a friend,” said police spokeswoman Therese Barbera. The Palm Beach County School Board Police have requested the PBSO Violent Crimes Division to assume this shooting investigation and investigate further. Authorities did not release any information about a possible suspect. They did not have anyone in custody as of late Friday night. The game was between Palm Beach Central and William T. Dwyer high schools. "It's horrible," Wellington Mayor Anne Gerwig told to media.
