Nonetheless, a lot of people are against this “nudity ban” and want to do anything in their power to stop it from happening. Some activists formed a group that plans to stop the ordinance from getting passed in a totally innovative way. The group filed a federal lawsuit and asked a temporary restraining order in order to stop the lawmakers from passing this ordinance.
If the ordinance passes the only way to make “nude-in” demonstrations on the streets of San Francisco would be with a city permit. Such “Nude-Ins” are organized every year and their main purpose is to promote the city’s peace, spirit of tolerance and fellowship. Furthermore, the same group that fights to block the ordinance declares that a public nudity ban would violate our constitutional right of free speech.
