Delaware police must find at least one gunman after a shooting at Christiana Mall, located in Newark, Delaware, the largest shopping mall in the state, on late Saturday. Three people were shot and five others injured not gunshot-related.at the mall’s food court. People started running. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. All three shot people have been listed in stable condition. The mall was evacuated Saturday evening. Police had taped off a perimeter around the entrances to the Cheesecake Factory and Barnes & Noble. Traffic was gridlocked around the mall.

Investigators believe the gunfire began when several suspects got into an altercation. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigative Unit is currently investigating the incident. As of Saturday night, police said no suspects were in custody. People with information on the shooting or suspects are asked to call Delaware State Police immediately. In the official report „Crime in Delaware” which covers years 2015 through 2019 a decrease of criminalty including violent offenses was constated. The number of arrests from 2015 to 2019 was lower for all categories.
