The EF-2 tornado killed people and damaged structures and roads

The county’s emergency management office said some structures were damaged. In Robertson County there were also reports of overturned vehicles, windows blown out, and downed trees. As of 11 a.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service survey team confirmed at least EF-2 tornado damage with max winds of 120 mph on the east side of Clarksville near I-24 and Rossview Road. In Henry County, Tennessee a large chunk of roadway was washed away. The massive sinkhole is located just north of Paris on Guthrie Road.

The storms were caused by a system associated with a cold front moving east, which caused flood watches and warnings to be issued across multiple states as of Sunday morning, while a wind advisory remained in effect for nearly all of Lower Michigan. Heavy rain also spread into the Northeast, which caused greater flooding fears. Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens signed an executive order earlier Saturday declaring a state of emergency ahead of the anticipated storms and flooding in parts of southern Missouri.
