Authorities announced Monday that a woman 42-year-old had died. She arrived at the hospital after accident “becoming ill and died later that night.” “We are deeply saddened for the loss of our passenger, the 14 injured and anyone else who was affected by this tragedy,” said Beth Fifer, assistant chief executive for Tropical Breeze Casinos said in a statement. The Coast Guard said it would review the boat’s maintenance history. Port Richey Police Chief Gerard DeCanio told the AP that the shuttle boat, which ferries people back and forth to the Tropical Breeze Casino Cruise, began experiencing engine problems soon after it left the dock in Port Richey. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
