Marina Krim, mother of three, was shocked and horrified when she returned home and saw her daughter and younger son lying in the bathtub full of blood. The two young children were stabbed to death by their nanny. The nanny who didn’t have a previous criminal record tried to end her life by stabbing herself.
Ortega was hospitalized. Detectives only interviewed her yesterday when the nanny recuperated and was no longer intubated. Paul Browne, the deputy Police Commissioner, declared to the press that the woman was arrested right after her talk with the New York detectives.
The 50 year old nanny is charged with both second and first degree murder over the killings that shocked not only New York but the whole U.S.
