Nobody won the massive jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing. The winning numbers numbers drawn were: 2, 11, 22, 35, 60 and the red Powerball 23. The jackpot has now grown to $1.5 billion, the third-largest lottery prize in U.S. history. The top prize for Saturday’s drawing now comes with a cash option of $745.9 million. Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Only two other lotto jackpots have topped the $1.5 billion mark — a $1.537 billion Mega Millions tickets with a lone winner from South Carolina in 2018 and a three-way Powerball $1.586 billion jackpot split between ticket-holders in California, Florida and Tennessee.
Saturday will mark the 40th run in this Powerball series. Each Powerball ticket costs $2. In order to win, you need to match five normal lottery numbers — white balls numbered 1-through-69 — plus the Powerball: a red ball numbered 1-through-26.
