The bees also attacked two other hikers. The swarm of bees attacked the three men at 3:45 PM. The man who died tried to lose the bees while the other two hid in a small crevice and waited for help. Paramedics noticed the two survivors were stung badly. Each man was stung approximately 300 times. The rescue team was prepared for anything. The workers that helped airlift the two hikers wore protective suits in order to avoid being stung.

The two survivors were hospitalized immediately. Paramedics say that the condition of the two men is now stable and that they will soon recover. Details regarding the age and the names of the three hikers were not released to the press.
