A car crash in central Manhattan forced hospitalization of six people


A stupid unexpected car taxi crash occurred on Monday at 1186 Broadway, near 29th Street, a few blocks from the Empire State Building in central Manhattan, New York. The taxi cab jumped the curb and struck several people. Two women were pressed against a building wal and more than a dozen people helped to move than the car to free them.. Six people were hospitalized to Bellevue Hospital. Three of them were in critical condition in critical condition. Even if it is not believed, police is considering even that the crash was intentional. Video of the crash shows the taxi made a left turn on Broadway and collided with a cyclist and after veered to the left and jumped the sidewalk. The driver of the taxi was transported too at a hospital.


The city’s highway investigation team began to collect information. The driver may have suffered a medical emergency, an NYPD spokesperson told media. “Right now, it appears to be an accident,” Deputy Chief John Chell said at a news conference. In a statement released Monday evening, Mayor Eric Adams called the crash “a terrible tragedy” and thanked those who tried to assist the victims. In fact, to help traffic, more than 1,000 intersections must be redesigned in New York.
