“Two males were both pronounced dead there at the scene. One was a student, one was a non-student,” said Maj. Stephen Williams, a sheriff’s spokesman. The shooting started inside one of the dorm rooms and spilled out into the courtyard. The victims were identified as Earl Andrews, 23 and Monquiarious Caldwell, 23. Edwards was a senior at GSU. Both men were from Farmerville. Students have been told to remain in their dorms as Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is working the scene.
“Violence has no place on our campus. We will fully cooperate with the police investigation,” Grambling spokesman Will Sutton told to media. Campus Police are working with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office on the investigation. Grambling State University is a historically black, public, coeducational university.
