Six people were shot outside a rap concert in Eugene and the suspect is at large


Six people were shot and injured Friday night outside a rap concert in Eugene, Oregon, in the back parking lot outside WOW Hall. One of the victims taken to the hospital was in critical condition and was undergoing surgery. The shooting occurred during a Lil Bean and Zay Bang show. All of the victims with the exception of one are from out of town and appear to have traveled for the concert. Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner said in a press conference that police arrived on the scene less than three minutes after the shooting.EPD & multiple law enforcement agencies responded, along with Eugene Springfield Fire. No suspect was in custody.


Police searching for suspect asked help from people with information about the incident, especially witnesses. „The motives are not yet known. We do know that some people were injured, but we do not know the extent of the injuries, and we do not want to speculate.” (…)“All we know at this point is we have a male in a hoodie that was seen running westbound … right after the shooting.” a statement said. They urged the public to call 541-682-5111 with any relevant information. Investigators have not determined whether the shooting was random or targeted. Police say they don’t believe there is a risk to the community at this time. Further events at the venue are canceled while the investigation continues.
