Seven people were fatally shot in a home in Plano, Texas, during Sunday evening. In addition, the suspected gunman was shot by police. Two other shooting victims were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. The relationship between the victims and the shooter was not yet known, and all involved are believed to be adult.
"We’re looking into a motive," a police officer said. The Texas Ranger Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety participated at the preliminary investigation on the scene. Authorities were called to the home in the 1700 block of West Spring Creek Parkway, near Custer Road, at 8:04 p.m. for a report of multiple gunshots.

Some neighbors said the shooting occurred during a Dallas Cowboys watch party. Neighbors were shocked by violence. Spring Creek Parkway between Green Oaks Drive and Blue Ridge Trail was expected to remain closed for hours and police work the scene. The victims and suspect have not yet been identified. A shooting of this magnitude was unusual for Plano, which is a city wenty miles northeast of downtown Dallas and the ninth most populous city in the state of Texas. The city is a nub for many corporate headquarters like Cinemark Theatres, Dell Services, Ericsson, Frito-Lay, HP Enterprise Services, Huawei, J. C. Penney, Pizza Hut, and more.
