Three members of a family in Pennsylvania died in a house fire on Christmas Day

A father, 41 old, and his two school-aged sons , of the King family, died on Christmas Day when their house caught fire in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, possibly from the Christmas tree that may have ignited. Two family dogs also died in the fire. The fire started at 1:22 a.m. Saturday, where all five family members were asleep on the second floor. First responders made numerous attempts to get into the house. “The front door and front window were blocked, fire was advancing to the entire home at that point. It was very difficult for firefighters to make a safe entry. It took a while,” Fire Marshal Doug Wilhelm declared. The mother and the family’s eldest son escaped with minor burns and were released from the hospital after treatment.

Officials in Bucks County are investigating. „Eric and Kristin are very active in the community, and the kind of people who make this a special place to live and attend school. The School District sends its heartfelt sympathy to the King family and their many friends and relatives,” the school district wrote in a statement on Facebook. Members in the Quakertown community have stepped in to help the family recovery launching a GoFundMe page.Another nearby house was in flames because the fire propagated but a family of four escaped without injury.
