A shooting inside a busy bar in Saint Paul, Minnesota bar early Sunday morning left 14 people injured and one person (a woman in her 20s) dead, being the 32nd homicide victim in the city so far this year. The shooting happened shortly after midnigh. Police found a “chaotic scene” when they arrived.”There were gunshot wound victims lying on the sidewalk outside the bar. Police believe others may be hurt and were not taken to the hospital.Three men – Terry Lorenzo Brown, Jr., 33; Devondre Trevon Phillips, 29; and Jeffrey Orlando Hoffman, 32 – have been arrested in connection with the attack and are currently in the hospital being treated for injuries. All three will be booked into the Ramsey County jail once they are discharged.
The Saint Paul Police Department’s homicide unit, along with patrol officers, the forensics services unit and others are investigating the incident. Several shooters were involved but the motive remains unclear. Investigators found “bullet holes all over in the bar.”The Seventh Street Truck bar is in an entertainment district just south of the Xcel Energy Center, where the NHL’s Minnesota Wild play. “We don’t see this type of thing anywhere,” the police spokesman Steve Linders said.
