It wasn’t this the only disappointment: the lack of content that people thought would be in the game created the same frustration. “I felt it was very (unorganized) and needs a lot of improvement,” wrote Harris. one of the attendees.  Niantic ended up giving ticket refunds to the thousands of trainers. As many as 20,000 people were expected at the festival. “From everyone at Niantic, we apologize to all of the Trainers who came out to Pokemon GO Fest today. Although we were able to solve many of the technical issues, we were not able to offer every attendee a great experience,” the company explained.

The developer decided however to just go ahead and release two Legendary Birds: Lugia and Articuno. It produced some excitement to Pokemon hunters in Chicago. Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. Lugia’s wings pack devastating power. And after all, people like Pokemon Go and show gratitude to Niantic “for developing a game that made so many people in America get outside, be more active, and experience our parks” as another trainer said. Until now, the app surpassed 650 million downloads.
