Mass shooting at a Miami club in Florida, two killed and dozens wounded

Assailants who opened fire at a Miami, Florida club, killing at least two people and wounding at least 20 more between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. Sunday are searched by police. Three people got out of an SUV and “began indiscriminately into the crowd,” that were standing outside a “scheduled event” at an establishment on 186th Street, in the Hialeah area to the west of Miami Gardens, the statement of authorities said. The wounded were taken to various hospitals in the area. At least one of the wounded victims was transported in critical condition. The venue was a banquet hall, which was rented out for a concert. Police said they’re looking for a silver Nissan Maxima that may have been involved in that . None of the suspects are in custody at this time. The Miami-Dade Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooters to contact authorities or CrimeStoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477) or (866) 471-8477. Police Director Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez III called the incident “another targeted and cowardly act of gun violence.” “This type of gun violence has to stop. Every weekend, it’s the same thing. This is targeted. This is definitely not random,” added Ramirez.
