About 25 senators and congressmen were at the practice. “It sure as heck wasn´t an accident. He knew who we were. I´m a former prosecutor and, yeah, he was going after elected officials, congressmen,”  was senator’s Jeff Flake. “Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, a true friend and patriot, was badly injured but will fully recover. Our thoughts and prayers are with him,” the President Trump tweeted. Local schools were locked down.” No entry into or exit from the school will be allowed,” said a message from Alexandria City Public Schools. The attacker, Hodgkinson, was a onetime home inspector. On his Facebook page he wrote: “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” The FBI is now leading the investigation. The attacker died, shot by police.
