A dinner with Warren Buffet is worth this year more than $2,6 million


It provides food, health care and other services to the homeless, the impoverished, and people struggling with substance abuse and it’s supported by Buffet since 2000. There were 18 annual Buffet dinner auctions for Glide, raising a total $26.3 million. During time, winners paid an increasing amount of money, from $25,000 in 2000 to the maximum amount realized in 2016, when an anonymous paid $3,456,789. The successful bidder and up to seven friends will dine with Buffett at the Smith & Wollensky steak house in Manhattan. Buffett, 86, is the world’s fourth-richest person, worth $76.2 billion according to Forbes magazine. He is also actually the second richest person in the U.S. He decided to donate his fortune to charity. Berkshire has more than 90 businesses in the insurance, energy, industrial, railroad, retail and other sectors and  Buffett owns about 18% of the $419 billion company.

At the beginning, Buffett worked from 1951 to 1954 at Buffett-Falk & Co. as an investment salesman. After he married Susan Thompson in 1952, he had a new job in 1954, being paid with $12,000 a year (about $107,000 today) at Benjamin Graham. During time, Buffett became a millionaire because of his partnerships. In 1988, he even purchased up to 7% of the Coca-Cola company, for $1.02 billion. Buffett became a paper billionaire when Berkshire Hathaway began selling class A shares on May 29, 1990. In 2008, Buffett became  temporarily the richest person in the world, with a total net worth estimated at $62 billion.
