An Aeromexico passenger jet collided Saturday with an utility truck at Los Angeles Airport

The incident occurred shortly after the plane landed at the airport. The Boeing 737 was taxiing to an arrival gate when it collided. The right wing of the Boeing 737 “acted like a hook,” lifting the rear top of the high-profile truck. Two people in the truck were seriously injured and six others in the truck suffered minor injuries. No one was hurt on the flight. The plane’s wing was damaged in the collision. Airport police spokesman Rob Pedregon said Saturday the airport has continued operations as usual. A preliminary investigation has not determined the plane’s and truck’s speed at the time of the collision or how they came to be so close to one another. “Someone made a grave mistake, we need to determine who it was,” Pedregon said.
