Shooting with injured victims during carnival at Cathedral of the Cross in Center Point, Alabama

Four people, including an infant, were shot Saturday night during the 10th annual Spring Carnival extravaganza, an Alabama church's Spring carnival but fortunately none of the shooting victims suffered serious injuries. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. at Cathedral of the Cross in Center Point, Alabama, located northeast of Birmingham.

It wasn't immediately clear how many people were shooting.  Center Point Fire Chief Donnie West said the shooting victims were three teenagers and a child under the age of one. The carnival began Wednesday and was set to run through Easter Sunday. Around 900 people participated. People running after gunfire knocked on the ground a pregnant woman, who suffered minor injuries. Authorities have  taken five people into custody for questioning about what exactly happened. Police, multiple ambulances and 35 firefighters were on the scene. Center point parkway was officially shut down. "This could happen anywhere, this is not just focused in on Center Point. There was security on the site, its just when you have someone that comes into these types of events, there's the potential, unfortunately, of these things happening," said Center Point Fire Chief Donnie West.
