He did not reveal he had a gun until he came into the room. He opened fire and killed the teacher. He also wounded two students before turning the gun on himself. The students were rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. One of them was airlifted. Authorities are still trying to determine a relationship between the victim and killer. The school is on lockdown along with two others: Hillside Elementary School and Cajon High School. 600 students were transported to Cajon High School for safety. San Bernardino Mayor R. Carey Davis said he was contacted by a White House spokesperson after the shooting. In an email to staff, the school district said: “This is believed to be a case of domestic violence.”
The gunman, Cedric Anderson, 53, killed the teacher who was his estranged wife and one of the students, 8-year-old Jonathan Martinez.
