The woman has been charged with four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, also known as statutory rape. She is also accused of trying to keep a witness from co-operating with police. Sheriff Jon Lopey told media that text messages and phone calls will serve as evidence. The officials said an arrest could have been made at any time during the probe if officers felt they had enough probable cause. The Sheriff’s Office said investigators “initiated an investigation that alleged Ms Fletcher had sexual-related contact with three students. “School officials, when they became aware there could be inappropriate misconduct associated with the interactions between the suspect and students, promptly notified law enforcement investigators,” the Sheriff’s Office said. Mary Fletcher, who uses the name Debbie, is due in court on March 22.
