Instead they continued the pursuit to catch their suspects.
TV helicopters arrived to the scene to film the police apprehended and take in the bank robbery suspects. County sheriff’s deputies pulled two men out of the SUV while crowds of people were closing in to see what was happening. But L.A. Police arrived quickly and help the deputies and move the crowd back.
The pursuit’s route was through a low-income part of the city. The money that was tossed out was never recovered. As the bank robbers threw the money people immediately picked it up. It seems that the bank robbers’ plan was to draw enough people on the street in order to block the patrol cars that were pursuing them.
