They boarded the plane around 6 a.m. and put their luggage on the plane. The couple didn’t speak English and according their documents they were in the correct flight. As a caution measure, the plane was de-boarded, searched and another aircraft was used instead. “It was a difficult decision to make, but I am sure you agree a necessary one,” the flight’s captain declared. “The plane was not secure overnight,” the pilot said. The airport is responsible for making sure that the plane is locked. The airline did not consider the incident a security risk because the two passengers went through the normal TSA screening process, and had purchased tickets for the flight. “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” American Airlines said in a statement.
