A methamphetamine illegal lab exploded in a Bronx home, one killed many injured

The home may have served as a meth lab, a hydroponic marijuana growing lab with propane tanks. The home’s roof caved in during the explosion. Pieces of the building were flying through the street, covering the roadway and several vehicles. Several streets around the scene have been closed off, Mayor Bill de Blasio has arrived at The Allen Hospital. Traffic delays occurred in the area of Tibbett Ave & 234 St in the Bronx. About 106 firefighters responded to the scene after the explosion. The Red Cross planned to help those displaced by the blast.
