Cincinnati Zoo suspended its Twitter account due to Harambe related suffocating posts

The decision to kill it was a difficult one for the staff of Cincinnati Zoo but the following months after the bad event were even more difficult. People sent them many signal of hate. Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard’s Twitter account was reportedly hacked recently and used to send out a series of Harambe-related tweets. Earlier this week, the Twitter account pf Cincinnati Zoo was voluntarily deactivated. The zoo reopened its gorilla exhibit with a higher, reinforced barrier and urged support for gorilla conservation efforts. Some important future investments are planed. “Our zoo family is still healing, and the constant mention of Harambe makes moving forward more difficult for us. We are honoring Harambe by redoubling our gorilla conservation efforts and encouraging others to join us,” Zoo;s director Thane Maynard told to the media.
