A former lesbian couple will receive $80000 from Honolulu City Council after being punished for a public kiss

Courtney Wilson and Taylor Guerrero are from Los Angeles and were visiting the last year, when the incident occurred. Officer Bobby Harrison, who was shopping in uniform, “observed their consensual romantic contact and, in a loud voice, ordered plaintiffs to stop and ‘take it somewhere else.’ ” In a second step, when the two women manifested affectionate again, he arrested them. They were charged with felony assault on an officer and spent three days in jail. The officer who was involved in the incident retired at the end of the last year. He was not already accused on any wrongdoing but the women wanted the officer to suffer some sort of repercussion. Wilson and Guerrero are not longer a couple but will split the money the city must pay them.
