New Jersey Transit was sending Midtown Direct trains bound for New York Penn into Hoboken instead, with passengers then crossing the Hudson River on PATH trains operated by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. Other NJ TRANSIT lines are experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes. The Secaucus fire is the larger of the two and is blazing on both sides of a set of train tracks. It’s estimated that 150 acres have been affected. Firefighters in New Jersey were battling fires. No injuries were reported. Both fires are causing travel chaos in northeastern New Jersey.
