First woman to head one of the United States combatant commands

Now, a little more than 6 percent of generals and admirals are women, 17 percent of officers are women and 15 percent of enlisted service members are women. Since 2014, General Robinson has been based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii, where she has been the commander over Air Force operations in the Pacific. The Pacific Air Forces command has responsibility for Air Force activities spread over half the globe and supports 45,000 Airmen serving principally in Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Alaska and Guam Robinson entered the Air Force in 1982 through the ROTC program at the University of New Hampshire. She has more than 900 flight hours and received many orders during her activity, including the Senior Air Battle Manager Badge.
