The worker was an electrician on his second day of his job at the Wilshire Grand Center.Turner Construction Company announced that the accident was “not work-related” and there were no violations of fall protection policies. The worker had no reason to be above the third floor. It’s not known what exactly had happen and the identity of the victim was not disclosed. Work at the site is stopped on Friday out of respect for the workers. Upon completion, the 1,100-foot Wilshire Grand tower will be the tallest structure west of the Mississippi. The $1.2-billion hotel and office project is scheduled to be completed next year.
