Mayor Myrick confessed that his father was a drug addict. So the actual mayor experienced the family separation when he was 5, 6 years old. This made him dedicated to observe the drug surveillance  system sustained by the federal government which not work. Mayor’s proposal opened controversial discussions in the city. Some people accept it and want to begin preparations for the first supervised injection facility in the U.S. Opponents say the plan will encourage the drugs use. “The city would have to be sure it’s dotted all the legal i’s and crossed all the legal t’s before it gets into assisting the use of a narcotic,” said William Jacobson, a professor at Cornell Law School in Ithaca. An official decision announcement is due Wednesday.
