Robbery in Riverside, California, alarmed people after the San Bernardino massacre

The police put the mall in lock down after they arrived and later concluded that no took place at the time. A robbery occurred instead shortly after 6:30 p.m., when three men entered a jewelry store and smashed glass display cases to grab the jewels kept inside. The sound of pounding sledge hammers and shattering glass were perceived by people as gunshots like. Jarrod Burguan, the chief of the San Bernardino Police Department, said on Twitter that the suspects fled the mall after the robbery. This was probably the only one robbery  which was welcomed because no real gunshots took place. The police said the investigation was continuing.
