They said the turbine was noisy, produced disco-ball-like effect  in their front yard  and made their life miserable. The city council have spent years battling the Nygards in court over the towering turbine. When a judge finally ordered him to take the turbine down, Nygard, complied but the anchor bolts and the 4-by-4 foot cement were left in place and the owner refused to demolish. This is why Jay Nygard  was ordered for six months in jail now, for not complying with the court order. However he and his wife think they have rights owning a property. Kendall Nygard said jailing her husband was extreme and is convinced that they will continue fighting the city in a declared personal war.
