There, investigators found the two kids covered in dirt walking barefoot on the ground soaked with vehicle fluid and living next to disassembled vehicles. The kids were living in a 8 by 10 create that had two auto-mobile bench seats with two small blankets to keep them warm at night. Their mother was not found that day. Her children did not have any water to drink and no toys or other clothes to wear. When asked, the children told the officers that although there was no place for their mother to cook them food they lived in that cave for several days.
The children were sent to the hospital to be examined and their mother, 24-year-old Brittany Mugrauer, was sent to jail. She was taken into custody on Friday in Kansas City. The prosecutor’s office announced the bond was set at $75,000.
