A snare was used to retrieve the dog. Before rescuing him, crews sent water down the hole to keep the child hydrated. He had no injuries but he was hungry. The rescue team promised him a ride on a fire truck. Investigation proved that the dog had been in the well for about a week. The boy heard his dog barking, and fell into the well as he turned around. Several rescue teams were involved on the scene. They were working for more than an hour. The boy was taken for a short time to the hospital.
