The killed person was identified as city resident Steven Nincic, 35. All of the victims were 20 to 60 years of age .The four-day annual event offers food, live music, a carnival, and fireworks. High winds – up to 50 miles an hour – whipped through the area as the storm system moved through the area Sunday afternoon. The storm also downed trees in Rogers Park and led to an evacuation at Lollapalooza. The police called it a “tragic accident” and said the incident is under investigation. “We are currently working to make notifications to the family of the victim. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” the police said in a statement. The rest of Prairie Fest has been cancelled. The winds caused also temporarily evacuation of music festival Lollapalooza in Chicago’s downtown Grant Park.
