A 75-year-old pine fell and injured children outside a summer day camp in Southern California


All of the children were between 6 and 8 years old, said fire officials. An Urban Search and Rescue team using chainsaws to cut branches from the toppled tree. Pines are evergreen, coniferous resinous trees growing 3–80 m tall, with the majority of species reaching 15–45 m tall. One individual of this species, found in the White Mountains of California, is one of the world’s oldest living organisms at around 4,600 years old.
