Nissan is manufacturing two models of the NV200, a standard version and one that is wheelchair-accessible. Cab Riders United, an advocacy group for passengers, praised the NV200’s passenger airbags and adjustable seats for drivers, among other features. The Nissan NV200 van is a light commercial vehicle already in use in Asian and European markets. The vehicle will have a transparent glass roof, interior floor lighting, a deployable entry step, exterior lights that flash when the van’s doors open, and independent, passenger-controlled climate controls.
