President Obama expressed the respect to the freedom of faith

The President expressed clearly: “As Americans, we insist that nobody should be targeted because of who they are, or what they look like, who they love, how they worship.  We stand united against these hateful acts.” The President also reflected on the many contributions Muslim Americans have made to the country. Hosting an Iftar became a White House tradition since Thomas Jefferson’s presidency. Among those invited to the White House for this event were the ambassadors from most major Muslim countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq and Turkey, as well as envoys from nations with significant Muslim populations like Israel, , India, Britain and France and more, including some American Muslim community members.
