The Highlands County Sheriff was alerted by the restaurant chain. “The boyfriend never knew about it until he saw us coming around the corner,” Lt.Curtis Ludden told to the media. Her friend, Ethan Nickerson, 26, was arrested in a short time, after deputies coaxed him to come out peacefully. He was put in jail Wednesday morning, with bail set at $45,000. Charged with aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill, battery, false imprisonment  and obstructing justice by depriving communication to law enforcement, Nickerson is due for a court appearance on June 1. Pizza Hut’s website helped solving this incident. Reading her message asking help, store manager Alonia Hawk recognized the victim’s name as a frequent customer and she immediately called 911.
