Dzokhkar Tsarnaev found guilty by jury on 30 federal counts

Some bombing victims and families of victims were present in the courtroom. the jurors returned their verdict after two days of deliberation. The jury was composed of seven-woman and five-man. They will decide, most probably during the next week, with a possible death penalty.  U.S. District Court Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. cannot overturn their choice but in the event they do not reach a unanimous decision he will automatically impose life without parole. None of the four defense witnesses suggested that Tsarnaev was innocent. On the other side, prosecutors described Tsarnaev as a true believer in the cause of radical, violent jihad. Tsarnaev is an ethnic Chechen Muslim who became a naturalized citizen of the United States just six months before he and Tamerlan detonated the bomb.
